'I have a disability myself but actually I first learned how to play standing volleyball. Then because I was eligible to play sitting volleyball I started to play. I became captain of the Iranian team for 13 years and I then became a coach and a collaborator with the world federation (World ParaVolley) for the last 6 years to try and develop the sport in Asia.
My advice for new coaches is that they increase their knowledge of the game, but first that they know very well the players and their disabilities. It may seem that they all play in the same way, but there are many differences. A good coach has to link what he knows about sitting volleyball with what the player(s) can do as individuals. I find that to be the most important recipe for success.'
